How to decorate your garden is the use of vines. They are very low maintenance and look good on almost anything. If you already have a fence or separator that really stands out on the gridiron of your garden, then grow grapes on it can be a quick solution and aesthetically pleasing. However, there are many types of vines for different situations, whether you're trying to grow the home side, along the ground, or up a tree.
Many different ground vines are available. This species grows fast and strong, and just inch their way along the ground. They are very easy to direct, so they can make a border around your garden, or just weave in and out of the plant. I recommend using this as a hardy ground cover if you just want some green on the dirt or manure. Usually you can find a variety that is resistant to tread. It is like a leafy alternative, good for the grass. Even if you have kids and dogs, there should be no problem to stay alive.
Another type of vine that is available is a wine "Twining". It refers to their method of climbing. Twining vines require a lattice or similar porous surface to climb, because they are not sticky at all. They only go up by sending out small tendrils to loop around anything nearby. I recommend using this type of wine to climb trees, or other types of mesh. Usually you have to guide them more during their early stages, and after that they'll go wherever you want them.
One of the vines that you would probably recognize is Ivy. You look around a lot, usually because it's so adaptable. Of the type I mentioned above (ground, Twining and sticky pads), Ivy can fill in for pretty much anything. It makes a great ground cover, and will grow on any surface you put it on. Although it grows fast and strong, I would not suggest growing your home. This is because recently, the building has ivy over the years have found that it had deteriorated buildings.
